A Little WIP Bribery...........

Meet finished WIP number 3!
I'd like to say that this encouraged me to try to top my own personal record of 14 WIPs in a row (finished, not abandoned--that record is probably much more frightening), but in order to convince myself to get this thing finished, I promised myself this:
which uses some FABULOUS cashmere/merino/silk yarn that a friend gave me, and is now finished,
and severely in need of blocking.  It's a quite adorable pattern, which is available for free here.  Right now mine currently looks like some ramen noodles had an accident with Pepto Bismal, but if you click on the link, you'll understand why this worked so well as a bribe.  In fact, it worked so well that
I'm working on another WIP!  Being my entry for the March Sweater Madness, it's a fairly recent WIP, but I finally got some issues with the pattern figured out,
and the sweater is now zipping along again.  With bigger WIPS like this, I've promised myself a quick little reward project when this is finished, which I think might get me through a few of the languishing sweaters in my bag.  My first choice was to jump back onto my favorite WIP, which is an Alice Starmore pattern:

but it's in fingering weight on size 2 needles, and I'm thinking I'd be more motivated if I actually FINISHED a sweater in the near future. I've given myself permission to work on any WIP I choose until I finish another one, so I can flirt with this sweater all I want, but I wouldn't count on it being the next one finished, though maybe by the end of the year...................?

Comments

Wow! You're so incredibly productive! I suppose I could be too, if I didn't lay in bed with my books better part of the day. :)
Sweaters are looking wonderful!

Pretty pink stuff indeed!
And that Starmore is just begging for some attention. It immediately jumped at me shouting "gansey frenzy!" Can you tell I have been without gansey on the needles for 8 months?

(and on a not similar to the robot test: why does blogger make you first type a comment, then sign in, and then not display the comment you typed before signing in? Won't let you sign in on a blank comment either... Sigh, it probably makes sense if you're a computer)
