WIP It!

Ta-da!  Finished mittens:
A finished scarf (sideways):

Lots of progress on the mohair sweater--which I forgot to take pictures of--and,

a new baby hat which obviously isn't a WIP but nobody's perfect.

Please forgive the sideways photos.  We recently upgraded my Linux laptop, and the new photo manager takes photos that were ORIGINALLY the right way up, turns them, and then no matter how many times I edit them, they still come out wrong.  In general, I really like open source software, but when it has problems, they're whoppers.  So, until I find a different program, I'm stuck with crazy pictures.  Don't you just love technology?

Hi Toni, lovely finished items. You amaze me. Love the ornament bok, I've had a peek at it and it looks like fun.
Happy Saturday,

I've never used it, but I've heard good things about GIMP as a photo editing program.

Way to go on the WIPs -- two beautiful projects finished! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of the progress on the mohair sweater. ;)

I've also been curious if you're planning to finish up any of those old WIPs for the new baby girl in your family. It's always nice to have a lot of the work already done for you!

Gaidig-
I use GIMP for Windows. It's intended to be a Photoshop clone, so it's very powerful, but has a bit of a learning curve to it. However being well-established, Toni might find it less buggy.

Toni, another option might be to use an online photo album. I just checked, and Picasa (which is what Blogger uses to handle photos) doesn't seem to let you edit from the web interface, but Photobucket certainly does. Or there are online editors like Phixr. http://www.phixr.com/about/index (which I haven't used, so I can't comment but it seems to like the right sort of service).

Those mittens are really cute! I may have to violate my principles and make some myself. (No thumb gussets- that's what has always deterred me in the past.)
