Oooh, good point. I have been contemplating making a new cover for one of the dog beds, using the old cover as a pattern. I can see me mixing up the pieces.
You may have made a design change, lol. I know what you mean though. It can be frustrating. hugs
@Abby- If you take apart an old cover to use as a pattern, mark each side of each piece with matching letters or markings- like write "A" on each side of the first seam, and "B" on each side of the second one, etc. Then when you go to sew up the new one, you can look at the old pieces and match A to A, B to B and so forth. I did a really fussy couch slipcover this way once, and it worked well.
