It's Done! It's Done!!!!

The shawl for my mother's retirement is done! And the fact that it's an entire year since she retired is really just being nit-picky (or should that be knit-picky?)

Theo is, of course, thrilled....I guess sometimes just having finished something is reward enough...

What a beautiful piece. I am a beginner and I see quite a few years before I will work anything remotely that complex.

Oh that looks wonderful! Yay for finishing! I love lace. What pattern is it?

Lovely! I bet Theo is not the only one who's thrilled :-)

I am delurking to say that your shawl is beautiful. Wow! I'm sure your mom will be thrilled no matter how long it took to finish.

(I feel like I should introduce myself. I'm Priscilla, and I found you through the Stash Knitdown group on Ravelry. This year, I needed to take a bit of a break from the group (I'm back now as of this month), but I enjoyed your posts to the group and so subscribed to your blog so that I could continue to follow your crafting progress. Your efforts at stash reduction are inspiring me to try again!)

Now that I've delurked, here I am leaving another comment. I really have enjoyed reading your blog for the past few months, so this morning I nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger Award on my blog.

What a nice comment from Priscilla. Anyway, lovely shawl--great job of blocking, too. I know it will be appreciated very much.

Oh my goodness Toni, that is just stunning! What a great job you did. Yet another true heirloom you've made. Your mother will be very happy with it. :)

Definitely worth waiting for! (And how much yarn have you used now?!)

Theo, hon, it's okay. I'm sure Toni will do some sewing with you soon.
