Getting the key people in an organization to make a freakin' decision already is often the toughest part. Delays in decision making is not unusual at all. What everyone else said- if it looks like something you want to do, follow up.

That having been said- yeah. You're experienced and competent. This is a business relationship. The fact that it's a charity doesn't mean that getting a paycheck is some kind of special bonus you don't really deserve. And organizations that have that attitude are unlikely to be much fun to work for.RobinHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10325359641194305097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2187154004946294016.post-21528083417825448952017-05-01T02:12:56.851-06:002017-05-01T02:12:56.851-06:00Hope you have had a call by now and that all goes ...Hope you have had a call by now and that all goes well with the photographing!Amy at love made my homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17111180584250029433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2187154004946294016.post-2950843831009625302017-04-29T11:36:01.865-06:002017-04-29T11:36:01.865-06:00I applied and interviewed for a job that I expecte...I applied and interviewed for a job that I expected to get, but didn't hear and didn't hear from them. In the meantime, I found something else. Turns out the guy who interviewed me had fallen off his bike and suffered a concussion. It was such a small operation there was no one else to take over while he recovered. If it is a job you really want, make a follow up call. Otherwise, move on. bittenbyknittinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03319831711404273005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2187154004946294016.post-37774566183822360812017-04-29T02:33:35.943-06:002017-04-29T02:33:35.943-06:00Job hunting is a frustrating journey and sometimes...Job hunting is a frustrating journey and sometimes the companies hiring are not as careful as they could be with people's feelings. It seems somewhat lax, or at least unconcerned about losing the candidate, but it could be.
And speaking as one who has been the second choice, it might take several days more as they wait to hear from the first choice. That happens, and it doesn't mean a thing.,, that job worked out great for me and (I like to think) even greater for them.Kathleen C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09985361663328017340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2187154004946294016.post-13948330641412373612017-04-28T20:42:36.215-06:002017-04-28T20:42:36.215-06:00Follow up with them. I have found that showing that I'm interested enough in the job to pursue a follow-up has made the difference in their decision making.Gaidighttp://gaidigt.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
