A Bit of a Dilemma

So, we're driving to Oregon tomorrow for a couple days (and since we have a house sitter, I can say this on the blog), and while I have 17 WIPS, none of them are good portable knitting. To be fair, I've been carrying around the Kimono Shawl, but I have just worked the third snagged thread back into it, and that's getting a bit tiresome. I want something that will fit in my purse and with a pattern that's easy to remember....but I'm trying to finish at least one more WIP by the end of the month....

Although, the only WIP I've been working on this week is the Kimono Shawl, which doesn't have the slightest chance of being finished in 9 days, so in 9 days I'll STILL have 17 WIPS.....

Maybe just one little lace scarf......?

I was gonna say, "Sure! Go for it! You deserve a little lace-shawl-knitting on your trip!" Then I realized that the kimono shawl is, um, a lace shawl. Right? So, um,...?

BTW, my verification word for this comment is "slogges"... rather old-Englishy for what you're doing now on that kimono shawl. Coincidence? I think not.

Hmm- regarding snags- I find that keeping snaggy projects in a plastic bag inside the knitting bag helps somewhat.

And I could see wanting a project that fits in your purse, but since you're driving, you don't actually have to carry everything. Wouldn't this be the perfect chance to finish off that blanket? And then you could reward yourself by casting on something new. (Unless you're likely to jump out of a moving vehicle to get away from the blanket, of course...)
